“A Gathering of Philosophy and Music: Cueca and Jazz, Creative Powers” is the name of the event organized by the PUCV School of Philosophy and held on Thursday, May 15th at CENTEX in Valparaíso. Laura Jordán, a professor at the PUCV’s Music Institute, participated in a discussion with Erin Graff and Ricardo Álvarez, moderated by Andrea Ugalde. The CMUS researcher focused on cueca, focusing on its aspects of creativity and improvisation. In her presentation, she said: “Reflecting on creativity, freedom, and the less-explored aspects of jazz and cueca is essential to understanding their deepest meanings in our culture.”
