Next Tuesday, November 11, CMUS will host an international guest. Colombian academic Alejandro Castillejo Cuéllar will give a lecture at the Pre-Columbian Museum, which is open to the public and free of charge. The event is part of the Listening and Post-Humanism lecture series, organized by NIMSE and led by CMUS research associate Natalia Bieletto.

Entitled “Nature as a subject of pain,” the conference is based on his latest publication, The Book of Devastations and Life (Colombia’s Truth Commission), in which he addresses how war affects nature as both witness and victim.

Alejandro Castillejo Cuéllar is an academic and anthropologist from the University of Los Andes in Colombia and at the end of September he had already given a talk, but remotely, for CMUS.
