The fourth annual Cultural and Creative Industries as Drivers of Development: Lessons Learned from Chile and South Korea Conversation will take place on Wednesday, June 17th. This event aims to reflect on the strategic role of cultural and creative industries in contemporary development processes. Tomás Peters and Soombae Kim will be among the participants.

The CMUS researcher previews his presentation: “In the presentation, I will be presenting, along with my colleague Soonabe Kim, the results of the project ‘Development of a Policy Model for the Chilean Cultural Industry: Lessons from South Korea,’ funded by the Korea Foundation. We will analyze the implementation and role that legislation and promotion and research agencies have played in the recent development of South Korea’s cultural and creative industries, and how this experience provides strategic input for considering cultural policies in Chile and Argentina.”

The event, which will be broadcast online (registration required), is organized by the Seminar on Markets and Cultural and Creative Industries and the School of Cultural Management of the National University of Rosario, Argentina (UNR).
