Daniel Domingo, research assistant and executivecoordinator at CMUS, gave the talk “Exploring American Variety Shows in 19th-Century Chile.” In it, he discussed the shows that crossed borders and traveled from the United States to Chile. They brought acrobats, minstrels, animals, and variety shows, also addressing the political and social context of their reception. This activity took place on Friday, April 4, at the PUCV School of Music and is part of a project funded by the National Fund for the Promotion and Development of the Performing Arts, 2024 call for proposals.
