Last week, Alberto Hurtado University dedicated several days to the work of Gustavo Becerra Schmidt on the occasion of his centennial. Among the activities, the symposium “Current Studies on the Work of Gustavo Becerra-Schmidt” was held, which included two thematic panels. The first “Perspectives on Her Career” was moderated by Eileen Karmy. Here, Daniela Fugellie gave the presentation “Becerra Schmidt’s work in Chile during the dictatorship.” The second one, entitled “Enhancing the Value of Documentary Funds,” was moderated by Daniela Fugellie herself.

To conclude the day,three short films with music composed by Gustavo Becerra Schmidt were presented at the Cineteca Nacional. The activity was presented by musicologist Martín Farías.
