Daniela Fugellie will be at the 5th MUSAM Congress
Daniela Fugellie will participate in the 5th MUSAM Conference, Transatlantic Dialogues: Discourses and Analytical Strategies on Ibero-American Music, organized by the University of Valladolid from October 2 to 4. The event will take place at the Conde Ansúrez Conference Center, a building within the same institution. The CMUS senior researcher will give the presentation “The ‘Serialism’ of Mario Alfagüell (*1948): Outline of a Situated Musical Analysis.”
The 5th MUSAM Congress states in its program that it “invites researchers to reflect on these emerging approaches from a transatlantic perspective, addressing both the analysis of sound discourse using updated analytical tools and the study of discourses about music, including its creation, performance, reception, and circulation between the two shores. The congress thus aims to generate a space for scientific dialogue that expands the analytical possibilities and strategies of the Ibero-American sound universe, promoting a more dynamic and inclusive framework that reflects the variety and complexity of the region’s practices in the Atlantic and global context.
This month, Daniela Fugellie will have several activities in Germany, including the 77th German Musicology Society Conference at the Franz Liszt University of Music (Weimar), and a research residency at the University of Regensburg, among others.
