Alternate Director – Principal Investigator

With a degree in Social Anthropology from the Universidad de Chile and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico, she works as a researcher and professor in two areas of specialization: the anthropology of contemporary artistic processes and the study of cultural practices in Latin America.

She has served as head researcher for various anthropology and sociology research projects; given lectures at both national and international conferences; and has written various specialized publications on topics such as creative work, museums and heritage, cultural audiences, artistic education and cultural policy. She has been a consultant for the UNESCO regional office of education in Santiago, Chile, and for the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage. She is associate professor in the Anthropology Department at Universidad Alberto Hurtado and Director of the Latin American Anthropologies Master’s Program.
