Associate professor and director of the Music Institute at Universidad Alberto Hurtado. She has a PhD in Musicology from Berlin University of the Arts and is currently head researcher of the project “Latin American Serialism as Cultural Technique” (Fondecyt regular 1220792).

Her areas of research include 20th and 21st century Latin American classical music, the cultural history of music and music trajectories between Latin America and Europe. She has published articles and chapters in books in various countries and is author of the book “Musiker unserer Zeit”. Internationale Avantgarde, Migration und Wiener Schule in Südamerika (Munich: text + kritik 2018). She is member of the editorial committee of Twentieth-Century Music and founding member of the Trayectorias international network of researchers (www.trayectorias.org).
