PhD in musicology and professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Head researcher at Núcleo Milenio Center for Music and Sound Cultures (2023-2025). Her latest research focuses on the transphonography in the Chilean New Song, music albums by female artists at the dawn of the 20th century, and the histories of popular music in higher education curriculum.

In 2022, she published the book “Trafülkantun: Cantos cruzados entre Garrido y Curilem” co-authored by Andrea Salazar, on Mapuche song. Her recent project Más que gritos y susurros: voces de la música popular en Chile, addressed voices in popular genres, from rock to the roots of folk music. She is currently working on the project Culturas del casete: tecnología, escucha y participaciónfinanced by ANID [Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo de Chile].
