Postdoctoral researcher
She holds a degree in Information Sciences and a master’s degree in Communication from the Federal Fluminense University. She also holds a doctorate in Communication and Cultural Studies from the Federal Fluminense University, with a dual degree from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. Her previous research focused on gender and feminist studies in the music industry, as well as on the processes of women’s network formation as a form of resistance to gender roles and impositions.
She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Millennium Nucleus in Musical and Sound Cultures (CMUS) and Universidad Mayor, where she conducted research in the digital context of fast-paced video platforms, observing the process of identity construction and representation of women in South American heavy metal scenes. She is a member of the Musilab (CNPq – UFF) and MiDICom (CNPq – UFF) research groups and the research network of the Interdisciplinary Center for Global South Studies at the University of Tübingen. She belongs to the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR).
