Ignacio Soto arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the International Congress Traditional Culture and Art: Problems of Preservation and Development. On August 1st, the CMUS principal investigator will give a conference “Language Revitalization and Integration of Traditional Music: the case of a Mauche Williche Musician from Southern Chile”. The congress is part of the Ruh Sanat Traditional Music and Cultures Festival which will take place between the 1st and 5th of August.

The festival is organized by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Scientific Research Center for Traditional Culture and Art of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation, and the Kyrgyz National Theatre “Manas.”
