Journ\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9tude internationale <\/em> (Photographie \/ Musique populaire) (International Day of Study: \u201cPlural Citizenships and Matri\/Inheritance Issues in the Americas\u201d) at the University of Rennes, France on May 22.<\/p>\n<p>The CMUS researcher presented the paper &#8220;Musiques de l\u2019exil chileen: m\u00e9moires et cr\u00e9ation textile (XXe et XXIe si\u00e8cles)&#8221; (Music of the Chilean exile: memories and textile creation (20th and 21st centuries). In this regard, the academic notes: &#8220;This initiative was part of the framework of commemorations in Chile, reflecting Laura Jord\u00e1n&#8217;s and my desire to critically intervene in spaces of memory, questioning the impact and scope of musicology beyond the university margins. Although the proposal did not significantly reduce the distance between academic research and community work, it did allow us to outline a possible way of articulating specialized knowledge and collective demands.
