This day of study on music, archives, and memory will be held at the Institute of Aesthetics of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in collaboration with the V\u00edctor Jara Foundation. The event is also organized by the Chilean Society of Musicology, whose president is <strong>Javier Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, an adjunct researcher at CMUS. <\/p>\n<p>He himself states: &#8220;The purpose of this meeting is to open a dialogue between archivists and researchers, to address, among other things, the strategies and modes of use of musical archives, their current challenges, and the tensions or possibilities produced at the intersection between archives and the memories of popular music.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CMUS principal investigator <strong>Laura Jord\u00e1n<\/strong> (PUCV) will participate in Panel 2 with her presentation &#8220;Investigating the Ra\u00edces Label Archive,&#8221; alongside Javier Rodr\u00edguez, who will present &#8220;Epistolary Communication in the Archive of Gitano Rodr\u00edguez.&#8221; Richard Smith will also participate with &#8220;Exile and Solidarity in the Liverpool Popular Music Archive.&#8221; Meanwhile, Panel 1 will feature <strong>Ninoshka Piagneri<\/strong> and <strong>Constanza Araya<\/strong>, who will discuss Inti-Illimani at UTE, USACH Heritage Archive; <strong>Rodrigo Sandoval<\/strong>, from the Quilapay\u00fan Collection, Faculty of Arts Archive, UC; and finally, <strong>Javier Osorio<\/strong>, speaking about the V\u00edctor Jara Archive, of the V\u00edctor Jara Foundation. <\/p>\n<p>See the full program below:<\/p>\n<h5><em>See the full program below:<\/em><\/h5>\n<p>Thursday, November 20th<br \/>\nPanel 1.
