Lucía P. Vivas, a CMUS graduate student, defended her Master’s thesis in Latin American Anthropology at the University of Alcalá (UAH), titled PRESENTE-SIEMPRE Cuerpo, Máscara y Muerte en Lxs Diablxs Rojxs de Víctor Jara (PRESENT-ALWAYS: Body, Mask, and Death in Víctor Jara’s Lxs Diablxs Rojxs). This marked the culmination of her anthropological research, which was conducted within the framework of the MANTLAS project between 2023 and 2025. The thesis was supervised by Carla Pinochet, Deputy Director of CMUS, and received support from the Chile Crea grant from the National Fund for the Promotion and Development of the Performing Arts, as well as support from this Millennium Nucleus.
